Calum Davenport Accepts West Ham Pay-Off
By Chris Wright
Calum Davenport has agreed a £250,000 contract pay-out with West Ham United.
Davenport has just returned to training since suffering horrific leg wounds after an alleged stabbing at the hands of his sister’s boyfriend last year, but The Hammers are desperate to cut costs at Upton Park and the £16,000-a-week defender is one of many who will face the axe under the new ownership of David Gold and David Sullivan.
The 27 year old has played just 13 times for West Ham since his £3 million move from Tottenham nearly three years ago.
