Brooking signed for the Hammers as a teenager after leaving Ilford County High School. He went on to make 635 first-team appearances over the course of 19 years. This week he was inducted into the National Football Museum’s Hall of Fame. Quite right too - Trevor is one of the classiest players (and men) to have pulled on an England shirt.
