Maynor Figueroa’s Subtle, Barely-Noticeable Leaping Handball Block vs Man City (Video)

This probably isn’t going to stay up for very long, but here we have Wigan full-back Maynor Figueroa pulling off one of the most brazenly ridiculous handballs for quite a while as, with a matter of minutes left to play against Man City last night, the Honduran leaps like a salmon to blatantly swat a bouncing ball away with Sergio Aguero poised to scamper in on the Wigan goal from 45-odd yards out…

Figueroa saw yellow for his ineptitude, but I ask you; How is that not a red-card offence? I mean, it just is. Isn’t it?

Of course, Mancini was straight up doing his ‘imaginary card’ bit, though he later claimed it was alright because he was on the bench rather than yelling in the referee’s face. Hmmm…

Stay classy Bobby.

Wow, You see this all the time in amateur games. Rediculous

Mancini thinks he’s a player. He has some ego. He needs to grow up and be the manager. It’ll blow up in his face if he isn’t careful and it’ll be him to blame.

Mancini is great for the premiership, has an ego, speaks his mind and not afraid to annoy people, he adds the colour that has been missing since Mourihnio moved on. Sure his card waving double standards will wind some people up but thats the beauty of it, he doesn’t give a f*ck.Fergussons angry old man bully routine especially with journalists is at best annoying at worst unproffessional, Villas Boas inability to stop speaking while being interviewed is laughable and Daglish’s increased paranoia with the press resulting in constantly sarcy answers make his interviews hard to watch (and I’m a pool fan). These factors make Mancini a breath of fresh air no?

I am a City supporter, but you just gotta love Bobby Manc. He’s only about winning, that’s it.

Speaking of classy, how about those Wigan kits? Without a sponsor’s logo those things sure are snazzy…

    NO

He’s fairly petty. Other than that he has no personality. He isn’t funny or charming in any way. He’s a robot compared to glenn roeder so you can’t compare him to Mourinho. He tries to be his players best friend. This shit wont fly. Its a bad trait for a manager because he needs to be in charge. If a player refused to go on for ferguson he’d have kicked a few boots at him til he went on. You can’t compare him to ferguson. Dalglish is a legend as well. He knows what he’s doing. He’s creating a them against us atmosphere and protecting his payers. Mancini as a manager has benefit from Milan being docked points and inter assembling the best inter squad ever for him (maybe best in europe at the time) and he couldn’t win in europe. Now man city have given him millions and millions. We’ll see but its not like he has done it from his own ability.

as a honduran, it’s totally depressing to see Maynor Figueroa’s total drop in form since the world cup.

I love the idea of Mancini taking it upon himself to referee the referees! XD
