Seems like it was a bit of a rough old night for Sergio Aguero at the DW. Not only was he robbed of a clear goal-scoring opportunity by a flailing Honduran, Kun also saw a bobbing, weaving solo wondergoal nipped in the bud ten minutes from time.

After flitting his way past three Wigan defenders, Aguero finally set himself to pull the trigger before the crucial block was made, courtesy of a last-ditch interception by a big, awkward Bosnian lummox by the name of Edin Dzeko – a man, it should be pointed out, who is also employed by City…

Well in Son!

What the F Dzeko? This situation vaguely resembles the infamous Nani (cock)shotblock with Ronaldo.

  2. Mr. T says:

Haha…well played Chris. I laughed my ass off when I saw Dzeko just stand there while Aguero beat three defenders and ran into him. And then try and toe poke the ball in as if he expected the keeper to be too mezmerized by Aguero to notice his sly efforts. lol.

  3. Jonkops says:

Wigan should sign Dzeko he’s by far there best defender.

PS. Who won the Messi boots?

  4. Markell says:

Am I the only one who thought Kun took too many touches/was being a bit selfish? I love the man, no mistake, but jeez, pull the facking trigger why don’t ya? I can’t blame Edin for having a go. Looks like Kun did, though- the eyes say it all.

And by it all I mean “I’m going to straight up murder your ass, in the shower after the match.”

  5. Isaac says:

@Markell I think he just got the ball a little lost in his feet and couldn’t set himself to take the shot he wanted to. I’m sure all soccer players have been there and instead of shooting you just try to keep the ball.

  6. Miguel - NYC says:

Dzeko, though he scored one goal, squandered many chances…not content with that, he squandered Aguero’s as well.
Aguero made the whole defense look stupid…he created the chance for himself…at that point you just have to let him finish it.

    @Isaac and Miguel-NYC

Thanks guys… I never did play any football (at least not this kind) myself, so I don’t always understand the technical aspects of it. Being a rabid City supporter, all I could think was “STOP DRIBBLING AND SHOOT THE GODD-DZEKOOOOOO!!! WHY!!!”

  8. Anon says:

Well Dzeko is a dumbass but Aguero’s efforts might have been in vain regardless. Sure it was a nice slalom thru Wigan defence but the goalie was already pretty close to snatching the ball from his feet whichever way you look at it.
I don’t like either one of the players, Kun Aguero is a balerina and Dzeko always scores with the ball taking a deflection of his back, thigh, eyelash, asshair….shitty player

  9. Mr. T says:

@Anon – If you want to like Dzeko just watch Carrol and compare the two. :)

Aguero is class, I’m utterly respectful that he never cry ape, he has very high emotional intelligence. I rated him higher now

  11. Tom Jones says:

Aguero was clearly off balance and would never have gotten a shot away at goal anyway so don’t get your knickers in a twist.
