In front of less than 15,000 fans, Wigan failed to get the win that would have lifted them clear of the relegation dogfight. If Roberto Martinez’s team do go down, they will rue not beating a makeshift Pompey team that couldn’t even name six substitutes. Jamie Ashdown was excellent in goal for the visitors.
