Worst Miss Of The Weekend: Kilmarnock’s Paul Heffernan Or Bolton’s Dedryck Boyata? (Video)
By Alan Duffy
The weekend witnessed plenty of goals, drama and a fair amount of mediocre football at times, but it also gave us two prime examples of how to miss with a header from point-blank range.
Step forward Kilmarnock’s Paul Heffernan and Bolton’s Dedryck Boyata. While the latter’s miss, although quite appalling, didn’t have any bearing on the Trotters’ comfortable 3-1 win against Wigan, Heffernan could have stopped Celtic’s comeback (from 3-0 down) and given Killie a fantastic victory over the Glasgow giants. However, it was not to be and the game ended 3-3.
But which miss is worse? You decide!
First up, Paul Heffernan…
Second, Dedryck Boyata…

Err…Chris, in the Celtic clip, you might want to check out the 5th second… another possible contender there :D
15th,I meant
Seriously Chris, Stokes’s miss for Celtic trumps both, if not every miss so far this year
Yeah Chris, the first miss by Stoke in the Celtic v. Kilmarnock is by far worse than both of those missed.
Missing the Stoke’s effort from this article looks like the biggest glaring miss…
Absolute howler
To be fair, young Dedryck IS a defender after all…
I was going to mention the Stokes miss, terrible!
Stokes got an obvious bobble
