There was a time, not so very long ago, when it would’ve sounded highly improbably at best, but these days of course it’s perfectly reasonable that Wolverhampton Wanderers should be on the verge of signing Joao Moutinho from Monaco.
According to Sky Sports, newly-promoted Wolves have struck a £5million deal with Monaco that will see Moutinho finally seal his long-overdue Premier League move having been closely coveted by Everton for the best part of a decade.

As per the local press, Moutinho is set to sign a two-year deal at Molineux, with an announcement due potentially as early as close of play on Monday.
From Ruben Neves last season, to Rui Patricio and Moutinho this (and all in between), Wolves really are proving that it’s not what you know, it’s who – especially if that ‘who’ happens to be Jorge Mendes.
