Panic spread through the streets of Rio de Janeiro earlier this week when it came to light that opportunistic thieves stole a van containing 300,000 Panini World Cup stickers.
The robbery left many fearing for the completion of their albums and wondering it their rubber-banded stack of swapsies would be enough to tide them over, though thankfully Panini themselves have issued a statement to assure the citizens of Rio that all is well and that sticker stocks are perfectly healthy.
“Panini can state that the city of Rio de Janeiro is well supplied,” the company said. “There is no shortage of official Panini products for sale.”
