Neymar has cut a frustrating figure at the World Cup thus far, with the Brazilian’s propensity for falling under minimal contact earning him fewer fans and more disparaging tuts.

It’s all proven equally perplexing for Selecao supporters, many of whom have grown weary of the striker’s habit of fishing for soft penalties and freekicks rather than attempting something more decisive in front of goal.

However, one bar at home in Rio de Janeiro reckon they’ve stumbled on a quick and easy way of transforming those jeers into cheers which largely involves chucking free booze at the problem.

The Sir Walter Pub in Rio are running a special promotion available to customers during Brazil’s crunch Group E clash with Serbia which will see a free round of shots on offer for their patrons every time Neymar goes to flailing to the ground in dubious circumstances.

Brazil still need a win to be guaranteed of qualification for the second round, but even if they do fall at the final hurdle, it’s more than likely that most fans watching at the Sir Walter will probably be far too drunk to notice.

The bar’s owners will doubtlessly be hoping that Neymar reigns it in a wee bit though, as there’s a very real danger they might be put out of business within an hour and a half of kick-off in Moscow.

Actually that post says “every fall by Neymar”. Not every dive. So there’s a risk they are bankrupt by the end of 1st half…
