Cast aside your gut-churning anxiety and hear ye: Football is officially coming home, and by Royal decree!

As England prepare to face Croatia in a World Cup semi-final, Prince Harry is currently in the Republic of Ireland doing what can be loosely considered as his ‘day job’.

While meeting Irish President Michael D. Higgins at the Áras in Dublin, the Prince’s statesmanlike facade slipped momentarily when a reporter in the huddle door-stepped the visiting dignitary with the question on everybody’s lips.

“Most definitely,” came the official royal response, and without hesitation.

Well, that’s the kiss of death all the emphatic proof we need that football is indeed preparing to return from whence it came amid a hail of golden glory.

England simply cannot fail*

Reaching the summit requires long years of hard work. Les Bleus were in the Euro 2016 finals and now in the WC 2018 finals. Croatia played three sessions of extra time against renowned opponents including the Three Lions. The two finalists have taken the long and hard route to the Moscow summit. There are no shortcuts to success.
