The Internet Explodes With World Cup Searches… Not Literally

“The internet has literally exploded, Richard… Yes, I do mean literally.”

According to Hitwise, some sort of boffins who are paid to analyse the web, at least 20% of all online searches in the UK last week contained the words “world cup”, with no less than 25,000 different individual search terms. We’re all going World Cup krazy!

Here’s a chart to confirm said krazy:

This must be very good news for sites like Pies – as long as I remember to put “World Cup” in every post headline.
