Which England Goalkeeper Would You Play Versus The USA?

Harty, Greeny or Jamo? There can be only one. Me, I’d go for Hart simply because he is our most talented goalkeeper by far (world-class, potentially) – he has proved as much in training in South Africa, so I hear, and deserves his chance against the US on Saturday.

The only reason Capello is wary of picking Hart is the Man City man’s glaring lack of big-match experience, but I think when you look at the alternatives (neither Green nor James convince), Hart must start.

I think its dangerous to put a young goalkeeper with barely any international experience into important games- remember Carson against Croatia? It could do more harm than good in the long term. Thats why i would go with James- still a very good goalkeeper- he was outstanding in the cup final, and he has tournament experience.

For me it should be Hart, and even though we’ve seen what can happen when you shove a young keeper into a big game (see Carson vs Croatia), Hart has one big thing in his favour, he’s actually good.

Hart is young, tall, strong, brave and an outstanding shot stopper, with the World Cup ball as it is, that’s better than a keeper that will try and hold everything.

Its got to be Joe Hart all the way! He may not have the big match experience, but you are only going to get that if you play in the big matches……everyone has to start somewhere!

Nothing too bad to say against the other two goalies (its world cup year so no slagging off fellow englishmen, lol) i just think Hart it by far the best out of the three.

    Come on Eng-er-land!!!!!!!!!

i’d pick rob green, but then he would fumble an easy save and watch it roll into the back of the net, giving away a 1-1 draw. that’s just how i like to handle things usually.
