In a game against his former club, Arsene Wenger oversaw a decent performance by the Gunners, with one young German playmaker in particular hinting at quite an exciting future.

Olivier Giroud and Ryo Miyachi (courtesy of a spot-kick) had put the visitors 2-0 up at the Toyota Stadium before sub Gedion Zelalem produced a sublime through-ball to set up Theo Walcott for Arsenal’s third.

Dragan Stojkovic’s side get did a goal back, courtesy of Kisho Yano, but it was the name of 16-year-old Zelalem who was trending on Twitter after the game courtesy of rather excited Arsenal fans.

The German-born son of an Ethiopian father who was spotted playing in the USA, Zelalem is already looking like a future star with his technical ability and eye for a pass. Expect a megabucks bid from Barcelona et al within two years.
