A tried and trusted tradition for many ultras around the world (see AIK fans giving CSKA Moscow the old “4am wake-up call” treatment here), a mob of Fenerbahce fans swarmed outside Arsenal’s team hotel after news spread among them on Twitter and Facebook that the Gunners were staying at the Wyndham Hotel Kalamış in Istanbul on Tuesday night ahead of the do-or-die Champions League play-off first leg in the Turkish capital tonight.
The small group of Fener fans then set about creating an unholy din on the street outside the hotel, setting off red flares, firecrackers and fireworks as they attempted to disrupt the Arsenal squad’s sleep…
Question is, did Arsene see it?
