Arsenal produced yet another underwhelming (and rather boring) performance at the Stadium of Light, with the Gunners playing out a dull goalless draw with relegation threatened Sunderland.

Theo Walcott once again found himself on the bench, but his cameo appearance in the second-half once again left fans of the north Londoners tearing their hair out.

With the visitors struggling to break down Sam Allaradyce’s side, Arsene Wenger sent on Walcott on 71 minutes. However, once again the winger had little impact, and one incident in particular summed up both his sub appearance and his season in general.

Faced with the possibility of a potentially crunching challenge with Younes Kaboul, Walcott decided to pull out of the tackle, something which didn’t impress fans of the club…

This latest embarrassing episode came hot on the heels of another rather lame incident during Arsenal’s recent home draw with Crystal Palace…

While it’s obviously unfair to judge a player’s season on one or two incidents, one can understand Arsenal fans who wonder how Walcott is one of the highest paid players at the club, considering his dismal displays this season.

Surely the attacker’s unfulfilled time at the Emirates is coming to a disappointing end. Anyway, at least Jack Wilshere got a run-out, eh!
