Despite reports that inclement weather would scupper their plans, a group of Arsenal fans did manage to see their anti-Wenger banner take to the skies before the Gunners Saturday lunchtime clash with West Brom.

However, when it comes to bickering, Arsenal fans don’t t do things by halves, with a pro-Wenger banner appearing over the Hawthorns at the same time.

The first banner to be seen in the murky West Bromwich skies proclaimed “No Contract Wenger Out”, with a new two-year contract apparently on the table for the Arsenal boss…

This was soon followed by a Wenger-In banner, which said “In Arsene We Trust – Respect AW”…

All rather silly, really.

Thankfully the two planes managed to avoid each other although a good old-fashioned dogfight would’ve been a fine bit of half-time entertainment.

Alas, for Wenger, it’s all getting rather ugly now, with his side’s abysmal 3-1 defeat on the day meaning a first finish outside the top-four is looking increasingly likely in what could very well be the Frenchman’s last season in the hot-seat at the Emirates.
