Arsenal remain the only side in the top-four tiers of English football without an away point in 2018 after yet another defeat on the road, this time at the hands of Leicester City.

The Foxes’ first league win against the Gunners since 1994 was kickstarted on 14 minutes by Kelechi Iheanacho’s, who fired past Peter Cech after more trademark feeble defending from the visitors.

A minute later, things went from bad to worse for Arsene Wenger and co, with youngster Konstantinos Mavropanos sent off after fouling Iheanacho who was through on goal.

Early in the second-half, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continued his rich vein of scoring with another goal to level the scores after good work from Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Although Alex Iwobi then produced surely one of the worst efforts of the season…

A Jamie Vardy penalty on 76 minutes, after Henrikh Mkhitaryan felled Demarai Gray, put the hosts back in front.

The Foxes would then make the most of their one-man advantage again, with Riyad Mahrez providing the finishing touch to a quick break.

The game, Wenger’s penultimate with the Gunners, would end in yet another away defeat for the north Londoners.

As for Leicester, the victory means they can still beat Everton to eighth place on the final day.

It’s proving to be a very apt finale for Wenger, with dismal away form and poor defending two unwanted but key components of his team’s performances this season.
