While the official announcement isn’t due until this afternoon, we reckon you can go ahead and assume that Jack Wilshere won’t be included in the England squad for the World Cup.
With Gareth Southgate yet to name his final selection, Wilshere has seemingly made alternate plans for the summer after accepting an invitation to join a random lads’ holiday to Zante on Twitter.

The scrawny urchin in question contacted Wilshere directly to ask him if he’d like to join him and his mates in the Greek islands, to which the Arsenal midfielder replied…

Anybody else and we’d assume they were joking.
We now patiently await photos of sunburned Jack, shirt off, bucket hat on, fly undone, 3am, cigarette in hand, spewing up frothy purple alcopuke on an ATM machine and chanting about Brexit at some poor, bamboozled Greek taverna waiter.
