Arsenal are within sputtering distance of tying up a couple of new arrivals at the Emirates with news that deals for both Denis Suarez and Yannick Carrasco are close to conclusion.
Suarez is currently in London and is set to finalise his loan move today (Wednesday). As part of the machinations, the 25-year-old midfielder will have to renew his contract with Barcelona for an extra year (to 2021) to help preserve his market value.
According to those in the know, the six-month loan will cost Arsenal around €2million with a non-obligatory option to buy tacked on at €25million.
Out on the eastern front, the Gunners are also deeply mired in negotiations with Dalian Yifang about a loan for winger Yannick Carrasco, who moved out to China from Atletico Madrid roughly one year ago.
As per Belgian journalist Kristof Terruer, Dalian are open to a loan for Carrasco but would like to source a replacement before anything goes through. The player is said to be unhappy in China and keen to return to Europe.
However, Inter Milan are also said to be interested in acquiring the 25-year-old Belgium international and may do so if they finally end up losing Ivan Perisic this month, who has been strongly linked with a move… to Arsenal.
Arsenal have made an approach to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. #AFC want loan with £35m option to buy. 29yo open to #Inter exit. Fits plan of versatile midfielder e.g. Suarez (still possible) / Nkunku + winger. Unclear if injuries mean defender wanted but Sokratis not bad

In conclusion, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
