Not that it ulimately mattered much, but Alexandre Lacazette was guilty of a fairly terrible miss in Arsenal’s routine victory over Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
It came late in the first half, when Sead Kolasinac provided the French striker with an unselfish lay-off just a yard or two from goal, only for him to welly the ball clear over the crossbar…
Yeesh. Lacazette had already scored for the Gunners in the sixth minute, so it’s not like he hadn’t got his eye in yet.
Anyway, a further goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed a straightfoward 2-0 win for Unai Emery’s side, who move up into the top four again as a result.
