“Look around Emirates Stadium and maybe, just maybe, one or two little things will strike you as being different. That’s because the process of ‘Arsenalisation’ – turning the Gunners’ home into a very visible stronghold of all things Arsenal through a variety of artistic and creative means – is well and truly underway, with some exciting and sometimes truly extraordinary effects coming your way.”

Press release on Arsenal.com

Arsenalisation?! Oh dear.

I have nothing against Arsenal wanting to transform the Emirates from a corporate venue into a proper football stadium, but whoever came up with that word should be hung from the new clock.

Its obvious you do have “a big thing” against Arsenal and its also clear that you lack to see whats coming. I bet you were one of those ppl who wrote off Arsenal in pre season and jumped on citeh wagon. Please Don`t write shite articles, and don`t hate on us because we have the best stadium in the country.

    Q. Who Ate All the Pies ???
    A. that Big fat tub of lard you call Mum ..

  6. natedawg says:

We just have to win a trophy and the whole stadium will come alive. But Nothing wrong with what their trying to do. World class stadium needs world class support. I have to say though last saturday was brilliant, atmosphere was brilliant, Scarves were brilliant. Looking forward to whats next. And Ollie Irish m8, less negativity please.

  7. Gunner says:

Pathetic. Wasted 15 seconds of my life reading that shite. Get a life ya loser.

  8. gooner says:

Ollie Irish- shite name, shite article.

  9. TSPOT says:

arsenalisation is a pretty lame way to describe transforming the stadium. i agree ollie hung from the clock. calm down gooner you were wrote off for the title because you have no chance. 2 wins and u think your barcelona.

  10. DT says:

Who came up with the name “Who Ate All The Pies”? It is terrible. Make sure your own house is in order before you criticise others.

  11. Ollie says:

“I have nothing against Arsenal wanting to transform the Emirates from a corporate venue into a proper football stadium”
Perhaps if you kneejerk Gooners read that bit first, eh. It’s not a moan at Arsenal, it’s a moan at the corporate wankspeak that has invaded football.

  12. goongoon says:

“Who ate all the pies”- FAIL. Lame name. Don`t be jealous of our stadium.

  13. Anonymous says:

    What a load of shite.

  14. Omar says:

Ollie, don’t feign impartiality, everyone knows you’re a Sp*rs wank anyways. This article = FAIL

“I have nothing against Arsenal wanting to transform the Emirates from a corporate venue into a proper football stadium, but whoever came up with that word should be hung from the NEW CLOCK.”
Its not a new clock. Its the same clock that was present at the Clock End. Its currently outside the stadium. Will be moved inside at the end of the season.
And while my fellow Gooners are knee-jerking a bit here, this article really is a waste of bandwidth. Take off the Lilywhite-tinted glasses once in a while Ollie…

  16. Ollie says:

@ goongoon: Jealous! Ha, I’m laughing out loud. You seem to mistake me for the sort of idiot fan who thinks on those terms. Just because I support Spurs doesn’t mean I automatically hate all things Arsenal (just read some more stuff of mine before you pass judgment). How old are you – seven?

  17. Colin says:

Dude, you really have time on your hands..the comments to this article are more interesting than the article itself…if u dont have anything to write on, rather not write at all

  18. Philando Torres says:

Fucking hell, I thought it was scousers who were meant to be sensitive.
And, whoever said the Emirates is the best stadium in the country – I agree. If that country happens to be Portugal. Where Benfica’s identical stadium is.

  19. Tim says:

Ollie, you just cannot win. I did not know your site was a big hit for 14 year old girls because that is apparently the only people who comment. Lighten up everyone.

  20. DCDJ says:

What the hell is everyone’s problem? Has this article been passed round the ‘sensitive overreaction’ thread on some Arsenal forum? You’ve all made yourselves look pathetic and stupid by apparently not even reading what Ollie’s written anyway.
My days, I could understand it if he’d written ‘Arsenal are shit and aren’t going to win anything for the next 20 years, Spurs are mega lol’…but he hasn’t. Furthermore, saying things like ‘FAIL’ on the internet went out of fashion around the time Arsenal moved into the Emirates – and the fact that some of you are criticising using the phrase ‘Who Ate All The Pies’ in a jokey football context might go some way to explaining the lack of atmosphere at both Highbury and Ashburton Grove.
There, is that enough ‘hating on’ you? Or should I have acted about as moronic as the majority of the Gunners commenting have? Here’s some ammunition for you too – I’m a Portsmouth fan with a massive chip on my shoulder about both Fratton Park and my club’s financial difficulties (but at least we’ve won something in the last 4 years).
    Boom!

  21. angersjay says:

ehr… oopdifuckindoo? the author is lame. (n portsmouth wont see a trophy for next 20 years n our seconds team plays in the fa cup oopdifuckndoo to u too)

  22. Peter says:

Ha, has everyone suddenly mistaken the internet for T.V. Here on the internet you can write want you want. Ollie has made a brilliant point and I agree with him. “Arsenalisation” I nearly pissed my pants at that, what a pathetic attempt to try and supposedly give the Emirates Stadium character. You can’t give a stadium what is named after an aiplane company what is based in Saudi Arabia and has put the football club in debt by hundreds of millions character. Pathetic, Arsenal aren’t going to win anything aand Im glad someone like Ollie brought this up.

So I guess you havn’t read the posts about Everton & Man City getting the same stupid knee-jerk reactions… “Jumped on the Citeh bandwagon”? try reading more than one post you twat

  24. goongoon says:

And Ollie do you feel mature insulting your reeaders and asking how old they are. Pathetic article. Excactly what to expect from a sp*rs fan. Pathetic. Waste of my bandwith.

  25. Jack says:

Fucking waste of my time. You fail. I`m not an Arse fan but don`t you have anything intersting to write. Let them arsenalise their stadium, i don`t care. Cannot fucking believe i`ve wasted my time over a piece of shit article.

  26. Arsène Wenger says:

Arsenal fans are twats, look at the comments they make when a mere website contributor is called on inventing a stupid word? If you bother to read the press release, they use the word “Arsenalisation” 5 times, as if it’s a real word. How hard is it to say something like “we’re refreshing the stadium design to better illustrate our history and passion.”
This is why I never win anything, I do it on purpose to piss off the fans! And if they say I should be fired again I’ll sell Fabregas and Arshavin to Hull.

  27. Ash says:

Feel the need to stick up for you in the face of some humourless gooners; get over yourselves shit bricks. You may have the best ground in the country but you have pretty much the shittest fans filling it ever week.

  28. 6l4d3 says:

ollie has said it himself hes a spuds fan so i aint surprised to see some articles against arsenal but ollie when you have a site like this u need to make sure your not too biased otherwise you will lose alot of visitrs especially us gooners and i agree i dont like that word “arsenalisation” my self it shouldve been something like gunnerised or something…or maybe not!!!

  29. soccer goals says:

Arsenal looks strong this season. We will see on Sat. at Old Trafford?

  30. machine goooner funk says:

i am fucking ashamed of you lot. all you think skinned, sensitive twats are giving the rest of us gooners with intellect and rationality a bad name. if ollie’s site bothers you so much why are you even reading it? furthermore the fact that you took time to comment on the post you call “shite” shows how pathetic you are. the man was simply pointing out the rising influence of corporate speak in football and that the board are now trying put more of the teams stamp on the ground

  31. kaya says:

Ollie, I’ve always thought you secretly want to be a gooner… but now all your boyfriends from middle school have enlightened me!
Honestly, if it weren’t for the hilarious reaction of a bunch of retards, I wouldn’t have understood why the hell you wrote this. Yawn.
And here I thought all the overly sensitive schoolboys were in Manchester and Liverpool. Thank you for showing me the diplomatic side of the UK!

  32. kaya says:

Actually, I wish I could retract part of that last statement… I wouldn’t want to associate the developmentally disabled with some of your posters.

  33. Flying Dutchman says:

    Article = Fail
And everyone who say they wasted their time reading it = Fail
Infact all of you = FAIL
    hahahahahaha
