When Aston Villa booked themselves a berth in the FA Cup semi-finals with a win over West Brom in the quarters last month, the frenzied race for tickets began.
Thinking he was going to miss out on the festivities against Liverpool this weekend, Villa fan Tom McGowan received a note addressed to him yesterday.
Accompanying the note was a surprise from his grandad (otherwise now known as The Best Grandad in the Whole Entire World™): a ticket to Wembley…

The note reads:
Hi Thomas,
After queueing for hours and hours in cold, wet, pouring rain, I managed to get you one ticket.
Actually, it was 90 minutes in lovely sunshine.
I asked for more but the staff said you were only entitled to one.
Enjoy the day. I hope I will be getting you one for the final.
All our love,
Nan & Grandad.
Bloody heroes, the pair of them!
