It may have come via a right balls up from Crystal Palace ‘keeper Wayne Hennessey, but Remi Garde finally tasted victory. Joleon Lescott headed straight at Hennessey from a corner, only for the Eagles’ glovesman to produce the mother of all fumbles and gift the Premier League strugglers a vital goal.

Still, without a win in the league since the opening day of the season, the Villans will take anything they can get and ultimately picked up a precious three points. Still, one wonders if the victory does actually offer the Villans a credible lifeline or is it just a rare moment of joy in an inevitable slide towards the Championship?

Could Garde and co. do a Leicester and beat the drop? Maybe they’ll find themselves just off the top of the table in 12 months’ time too! (they won’t).

Not this time, all your luck ran out. The spine of the team ripped out like a bad zombie movie & mismanagement galore, are you *prepared* for the Championship, chump?

Give “Park Life” by Nick Varley a read, for the answer to your demise can be found in that veritable tome.
