This ‘ere is the very shirt that Barcelona’s No. 4 at the time, one Pep Guardiola, signed and gave to a 13-year old Cesc Fabregas to help console him after his parents divorced back in 2000…

It reads: “For Francesc Fabregas, hoping to see you in a few years with the number 4 at the Camp Nou. Good luck! Pep Guardiola”

Is this one of the signs of the Apocalypse or something?

    OMG OMG! THIS IS… something every manager says when their talent is leaving his homeclub

  2. martin says:

    @Morten – Cesc didn’t leave for a few years.

  3. pete says:

    wow barca is so great, diving and corrupting children is so awesome and arrogance is cool

  4. CFC_Jay says:

    @Morten – also Pep was still a player at Barcelona when he wrote this, not manager. Though i believe they are words of encouragement and not some mystical omen lol!!

    just when we thought the never-ending bore of a saga was over. ANOTHER BLOCKUBUSTER story about it! one would swear this guy has won it all and more, can he fly too? yaawn yaawn, he will be a benchwarmer until xavi and iniesta retire. then he will only feature regularly. and by then he will surely have learnt barcas diving techniques perfectly.

  6. Yampster says:

    It’s my lucky day! I just found two Arsenal season tickets nailed to a fence. I really needed that nail

  7. juanos dios says:

    Last year at this time everyone said mascherano was an idiot for moving to Barca. Twenty plus appearances including a Champions League final later, its looking like a pretty good move for the man. Cesc will play. Injuries happen, aging has to be protected, and formations change. Do you reply think he’d agitate for this move for two plus summers if he didn’t have assurances from Pep? Come on now.

  8. Chris says:

    @Yampster: Fnarf fnarf!

  9. __wowza says:

    @yampster. i hope your happy, my boss just asked me why i was laughing.

    English fans complain and “yawn”, yet they keep on following everything that surrounds FC Barcelona. Truly more than a club!
    Btw, In the last 4 games against United, Barca won 2 games (kicked their asses in 2 finals), lost 1 and tied 1 (Man U going through the final of the CL). Against Arsenal, They won 1 CL final, kicked them out twice in the CL quarters. Against Chelsea, they have played in 3 elimination rounds in the CL, twice going for Barca and once going for Chelsea…so, maybe you should complain and hope that they learn a thing or two from the best team in the world.

    Meh, so he fulfilled a self-made prophecy. He’s not Jesus Christ for Moses’ sake!

  12. Varun says:

    @Montesquieu
    Ofcourse he’s not.
    He is PEP and he’s ona higher level ;)

  13. BarcaMessiTeam says:

    Hmmm, it seems like without Messi barca can’t achieve much……too obvious to not observe that in the past few seasons. While teams like Man U, Chelsea, seems more like a 11 Players Team.

    Pep have been achieving partly due to the team past down to him. Thus The Special One still accomplished more compared to him Pep, likewise Arsene and Ferguson have all achieved more with lesser talents.

    I believe most average manager could do well managing a group of Talented skillful divers minus Messi.

    @Miguel, I really agree with you.
    Barcelona have broken the hearts of majority of these EPL fans too much that they have to result to hypocritical assessment of Barcelona players. Diving, taking drugs, bribing refs,UNICEF conspiracy, etc are among the talks of the day.
    Surely,Barca cannot reign for ever, but please for the time being, respect the best team and praise their players/manager for the wonderful achievements.

    What Arsenal can’t provide in six good year barca provide it in three days for Cesc fab! & u idiot Madrid fan u will be complain of diving, ref support, fifa hand is dat of Marcelo on Cesc is also a dive

  16. MeghanGooner says:

    If you’re referring to the “trophy” Barca won against Real Madrid, then you have to count the Emirates Cup win last season that Cesc played in… and obviously Cesc hasn’t mastered the diving yet, he got hammered by Real Madrid, that incited a brawl. Sorry, but I laughed my head off.
