Congrats to rising British heptathlon star Karla Drew, who has woken up today £50,000 better off after Panama slogged to a draw against Canada and Uruguay beat Chile overnight to see her bold 10-game accumulator come off in the wee small hours of the morning.
Drew, who is trained by the same coach as Jessica Ennis-Hill, took to Twitter last night to post a screenshot of the bet she stuck on Tuesday’s international friendly fixtures with bookmakers Victor Chandler, sticking a fiver on the following little lot – all of which eventually came in…

Karla’s yet to post her reaction to her windfall, but we’re going to go out on a limb here and predict that she’s probably fairly pleased with it.
