Bad news Bolton fans, winger Lee Chung-Yong suffered a double leg fracture in yesterday’s pre-season friendly thanks to a horrendously unnecessary challenge from Newport County’s Tom Miller, and is now expected to miss the next nine months as a result.

The footage is a little grainy but, as ever with things like this, viewer discretion is advised…

dont know if the tackle was really horrid or Lee just had really shitty luck. From the angle you cant tell if the player went into the tackle recklessly. CCould have been slightly mistimed but resulting in a very unfortunate incident.

Am not a Bolton fan, but i like Lee’s game. He is a good player. Horrible injury for him. Hope he gets better as soon as possible and comes back strong.

agreed jess ^ no need for that in a friendly. Bolton are so relegated now. No Holden for a while, no sturridge, no chung yong lee for ages, tamir cohen’s been released, elmander’s gone. That leaves darren pratley, kevin davies and ivan klasnic with the responsibility of creating goals … good luck in the championship bolton
