“You’ll do nicely my little one, you’ll do nicely”
When asked just how new £24million signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan would fit into his system, Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, being the maverick wordsmith that he is, chose a marvelously intriguing analogy to describe the intricacies of his new, re-jigged tactical system.
Speaking to Bild, Klopp answered: “Mkhitaryan fits us like an arse in a bucket. What he offers is exactly what we need.”
Like an arse…in a bucket. Like…an arse…in a bucket.
Can any of the German sprechers out there confirm whether this is a well-known Deutsch turn of phrase or is, as we suspect, Klopp just an abstract lyrical genius? The Captain Beefheart of the Bundesliga.
