Bayern Munich enjoyed the rare folly of actually winning a match in convincing fashion on Tuesday night with Niko Kovac’s under-performing side coasting to a 5-1 win over Benfica in the Champions League.

All five goals came from Bayern’s ‘old guard’ with Arjen Robben and Robert Lewandowski scoring a brace apiece inside the first hour before Fronk Ribery finished things off late on.

The first came after just 12 minutes as Robben cut in from the right and drove a powerful shot past the helpless goalkeeper…

The second followed shortly thereafter as Robben – and feel free to stop us if you’ve heard this one before – cut in from the right and drove a powerful shot past the helpless goalkeeper…

He literally does the same thing every single time and has done for his entire career yet, even at the age of 34, defenders are still powerless to prevent it.

You’ve got to admire that level of commitment to the bit.
