Skip back to Friday afternoon and Reading kept their timely streak going, beating Leeds 2-0 to temporarily yomp to the top of the Championship thanks to Adam Le Fondre’s late double.

As expected, there were a few choice tackles over the course of the game (Leeds’ Zac Thompson was sent-off after 13 minutes) with Reading’s Jem Karacan finding himself on the receiving end of several ‘robust’ tackles before Michael Brown’s flying gooch-first lunge finally caused the Turkish-ish midfielder to limp off – with the 23-year old eventually leaving the Madjeski on crutches…

Scans have since shown that Karacan suffered a broken ankle and will now miss the rest of the season – that’s right, ‘Iron Scrot’ Brown broke a man’s ankle using nothing but the pure, unbridled power of his taint.

Impressive.

Watched this game..seemed like danny pugh and brown were determined to break someone ankles. I can imagine warnock saying before the game to ‘get amongst them’ but think they took a bit too far…

As a fulham who suffered through several seasons of Brown I’m not surprised he’s broken an ankle, surprised he did it with gooch though. Any chance of link to that tackle on Ryan giggs?

  3. Joe says:

@Jon- I’m not surprised either, he was an embarrasment for us. That Giggs tackle was against everything Fulham stands for. I always thought the only reason clubs buy Brown is to take out as many opposition players as possible over the course of a game. Surprised he hasn’t reared his ugly head at Stoke yet…

As a sidenote, that Leeds kit is sweet & tasty

No wonder his leg broke, with a thigh that size, his legs must have been the size of string
