Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Round of 16 - Second Leg - Chelsea v Galatasaray - Stamford Bridge

Didier Drogba’s big return to Chelsea last night with Galatasaray saw the evening take on a faint “testimonial” kind of air, with hugs and kisses being thrown around willy-nilly both before and after the game – much to the seething annoyance of Roy Keane, which is never a bad thing in our book.

With Gala mustering but three off-target efforts on Chelsea’s goal all evening, Drog didn’t exactly get through much work – but his free-kick ten minutes before half-time definitely bears repeat viewing, if only because he managed the enviable feat of actually hitting his own “Drogba Legend” banner which was hung by Chelsea fans behind the goal in the upper tier at Stamford Bridge.

‘Twas quite a shot…
