Stoke City 0-2 Chelsea – Premier League – 22nd December 2014
Once again, Cesc Fabregas inspired Chelsea to a victory which sees them top the Premier League tree for Christmas.
The former-Arsenal schemer set up the Blues’ opener after just two minutes, with his corner headed in by John Terry. The Potters did their best to get themselves back into the game, with Steven Nzonzi going close but despite the hosts battling display, it was Chelsea who would score again. This time Fabregas was the scorer, with his 78th minute scuffed effort wrong-footed Asmir Begovic to seal the deal for the west Londoners.
The Blues go three points clear of Man City at the top of the table while Mark Hughes’ Stoke are 13th.
