Zlatan Ibrahimovic may well have been looking for some kind of revenge against Chelsea in North Carolina on Saturday.
The Swede saw red for PSG against the Blues in last season’s Champions League Last 16 clash, with the striker subsequently calling the Chelsea players who surrounded the ref at the time as “babies”.
Well, in PSG’s International Champions Cup clash in the USA at the weekend, Zlatan seemed to elbow one of those “babies”, a certain John Terry, and ‘allegedly’ elbow him hard.
However, Ibrahimovic didn’t even pick up a booking for the incident, with Terry, to his credit, making little of the incident.
Maybe it was a freak accident but the evidence does look damning…
Ibrahimovic himself scored for the Ligue 1 champions in the game, with Victor Moses levelling the scores, before Chelsea won a resulting penalty shoot-out.
Elsewhere, Diego Costa was also on hand to prove, once again, that he really doesn’t do ‘friendlies’ in the literal sense – getting himself embroiled in a right old dust-up with Serge Aurier…
