One Burnley fan is being hailed as a hero after saving a much younger counterpart from a face-full of football during yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
At one point in the early knockings, Ashley Barnes let rip with a powerful shot that went sailing wide of Thibaut Courtois’ goal.
However, just as Barnes’ wayward effort was about to hit a woman holding her baby in the stand behind the goal, a saviour appeared from the row behind to swat the ball away…
Magnificent.
Quite rightly, the man was instantly declared a heroic defender of the people on social media…
