Chelsea’s Smart New Home Kit For 2018/19 Season Sees Another Return For Red Trim (Photos)

Chelsea have revealed their new Nike home kit for 2018/19 and

Once again, inspiration has been drawn from a past strip, with design pointers pinched from various Blues’ jerseys of the 1980s and 90s.

Those kits featured “pops of red” against Chelsea’s famous blue, and these are echoed on the club’s latest togs in the form of “dazzling” red and white horizontal lines.

The new uniform, which will be worn for the first time in Chelsea’s final Premier League fixture of the current season (away against Newcastle this weekend) is completed by blue shorts and white socks, each speckled with flecks of blue and red trim.

We like, although it does look distinctly less ‘Chelsea’ and more ‘Yokohama Tyres’.
