Chelsea 0-0 FC Copenhagen: Brothel…Chelsea…Score…Couldn’t (With Photos)

After watching his side repeatedly spurn chances all evening, Carlo Ancelotti remained unconcerned by the profligacy on show during Chelsea’s 0-0 Champions League second-leg draw with FC Copenhagen last night – claiming his side ‘didn’t need to score’ following their 2-0 first-leg victory in Denmark.

Whereas you can’t really argue with Ancelotti’s inimical logic (after all, Chelsea didn’t play particularly badly), a tally of 28 attempts on goal with zippo to show for it is hardly anything to crow about – especially considering the array of strikers on show.

Petr Cech summed in up succinctly after the game:

“We were missing goals, we created enough chances but we didn’t take them – any goal would have given [the Chelsea strikers] belief.

“The job was done, we kept a clean sheet, the only thing missing was us converting our chances.”

Most amazing of all was that the Norwegian referee DIDN’T make a total ass out of him self.

    Last night’s Observations.
Officials in white shirts, Copenhagen in pink, Chelsea in blue, goalkeepers in yellow…it was like a packet of liquorice allsorts out there. We were outsung by away fans IN ENGLISH!! Drogba will never pass to Torres. Uneducated “men” shouting at the “foreigners” to shut the fuck up during the 1 minute silence for the Japanese disaster. Boring game…pitch looked nice though.

Copenhagen played well, and had Dame N’doyes freekick gone in, the match would’ve been wide open.
