Just stumbled across this ethereal snapshot this very morn and felt it was worth passing on, in which we see Chelsea full-back Albert Ferrer meeting Milan’s Andriy Shevchenko in a clearing as the San Siro is slowly engulfed by ghostly fog and flare smoke during a Champions League group tie in 1999…

    Chris mate, have you been smoking pot recently cause your facts of late have been way off the mark………..this photo wasnt taken any where near 2006! Albert Ferrer left chelsea in about 2003 and Andriy Shevchenko joined Chelsea in 2006………..
    Good retro photo though……!!

      @CFC_Jay: Oops. Just noticed that 2006 is the date the photo was filed on. I’ll hunt down the actual date and change it post-haste!

    This looks like one of those spot the ball photos that they edit and fill the whole image up with fog however I think I can spot the ball on this one.
