No wonder his knees are knackered

Some fantastic news coming through today if you’re an Everton fan or just a fan of talented footballers in general. After nearly a year out with a cruciate ligament injury, Mikel Arteta has finally restarted training on a full time basis and is edging closer and closer to a full team comeback.

The Spanish midfield maestro is quoted on the club’s official website as saying that he hopes to start ‘contact work’ (I assume that means tackling etc.) during the next few days after coming through an intensive rehabilitation over the past few months.

I can’t wait to see Arteta back in full swing, on his day he can rival some of the best in the world with his set piece delivery and range of passing. I dare say everyone associated with Everton is relishing seeing their best player back in action, not least manager David Moyes who has had to endure a season riddled with injuries to his squad.

Welcome back Mikky!

The jag is on course to be ready for the derby, mikky mid/late febrary could signal a sneek into the top 7 and a dirty grab for the europa league spots.

Yes! This is huge for the Toffees… I’ve watched Arteta rate as their best player on so many occasions over the last few years, it’ll be a major boon to have his creativity back in the midfield.

syndex, Everton haven’t lost in England since the end of November! If they keep up this form, a top 7 finish won’t exactly be a sneak, it’ll be a cinch.
