Burnley 1-3 Everton – Premier League – 26th October 2014
A brace from Samuel Eto’o helped Everton to a deserved win at Turf Moor on Sunday. Romelu Lukaku also got on the scoresheet in a game where Burnley struggled to stamp their authority despite working hard throughout.
Eto’o’s opened came after just four minutes but the Clarets did get back on level terms midway through the first-half, with Danny Ings netting after a bad back pass from Lukaku. However, the Toffees were always the more likely to score, with Lukaku, on 29 minutes and then Eto’o again near the end of the game securing all three points for Roberto Martinez.
Everton go ninth while Sean Dyche’s winless Clarets will go bottom if QPR get anything out of their game tomorrow night.
