What you’re looking at there is the mighty handsome new home shirt that Umbro have knocked out for Everton next season.

The kit is inspired directly by Goodison Park itself, with the ground’s grid co-ordinates (53.4389°N 2.9664°W) featuring prominently, notably imprinted inside the neck of the shirt.

Here’s a closer look at the subtle detailing involved…

Ain’t it purty? Brings to mind the last set of West Ham kits Umbro stumped up. Classically-styled enough to sate the purists but with enough dainty flourishes chucked in to render it a thing of beauty rather than banality.

The contrasting yellow trim, as well as the white shorts and the white banded socks, are all throwbacks to the classic Everton kit of 1997, also produced by Umbro.

The kit is available to pre-order from the official Everton webstore now.

Trust me I am not accusing anyone of anything, I’m just legitimately curious. Do you get money for writing these?

  2. Inno says:

That is exceedingly nice. I wish Celtic had gone back to Umbro, bar a few monstrosities, they did some nice kits for us.

  3. Jarren says:

I’m not a fan of that grid design at the bottom and on the back.

Makes the shirt look a bit “disco”.

  4. TurboEarl says:

Ace kit as an Everton fan I love it, umbro make brilliant kits and haven’t let us down yet since coming back three years ago.

  5. Dave says:

    Stunning……. A thing of beauty.
