Official: Everton Confirm That Ronald Koeman Has Left The Club With Immediate Effect

October 2nd, 2017: Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri gives his “full and total support” to Ronald Koeman after spending £140million over the summer and overseeing a less than impressive start to the season, including a 1-0 defeat to Burnley the previous day.

October 15-19th: Everton muster a flat 1-1 draw against newly-promoted Brighton, followed by a tempestuous 2-1 home defeat against Lyon in the Europa League.

October 22nd: An Everton starting XI comprising of seven players signed by Koeman lose 5-2 against Arsenal at home, sinking into the relegation zone as a result.

October 22nd: Koeman stoically tells reporters he “still believes he can change the whole situation” at Everton given enough time.

October 23rd…

    Saw the game yesterday and Everton looked like ass. No wing play, no central midfield, no possession. Only Pickford (who needs to chill a bit) hoofing it long to Calvert-Lewin. Having Rooney clog up the middle as a fraud eight certainly doesn’t help.

    I don’t know if this team can be fixed, as they are.

    It’s obviously not a lack of talent.

    Back to the drawing board to scrape a top 12 finish, or else relegation will beckon.
