Remember how raw and overflowing with potential Wayne Rooney was in the blue of Everton? The shock of the new may be long gone, although he’s still capable of thrilling moments on the pitch, but these most excellent pics will jog your memory of the rough-edged teenager whose talent rocked English football:

  2. Andrew Thompson says:

really annoying having to click next 19 times

  3. J-Bizz says:

    Assasin faced baby…

  4. manc. says:

  6. jeff says:

Hey, remember when you used to have thumbnails? I do. They were excellent, you know why? It meant that at a glance I could see all the wonderful photos you have for my viewing pleasure, I could choose which of these I might want to see as a larger image and easily do so. It seems others readers agreed, we loved the new thumbnails! Then you went and changed back to your unhelpful and timewasting slideshow, thanks for that.

  7. Chris says:

You know whats also excellent? Listening to Ollie saying that the site needs the revenue from ads which are generated by this format and accepting it, and not having to listen to somebody complaining about what is essentially just pressing your finger down 19 times! Hardly strenuous. Put up or shut up.

  8. Ollie Irish says:

Oh, Chris, will you marry me?

  9. Ollie Irish says:

Seriously, if we don’t have this format, Pies can’t sustain itself, so, you know – as Chris says, clicking a few times is not so tough.

  10. jeff says:

pies folded once, I guess it’ll just happen again.

  11. Ollie Irish says:

Jeff, if you don’t want to look at the photos, then don’t. Easy, eh! If you don’t want to visit Pies, then don’t – I’m not making you. So either shut up, or stick around but stop fricking moaning.

  12. bob latch says:

    …..three pics missing
    Goal celebration vs Leeds Away
Hands on Hips Vs West Brom
Spinning the ball on his finger infront of the kop on his first derby

The Mancs and Mr “unreliable” Stretford robbed Everton. hey ho , what price loyalty in football….once a blue always a blue hey lad!!
