San Jose Earthquakes and Columbus Crew churned out a 1-1 draw in the MLS on Sunday but, in the closing minutes of the game, Columbus defender Giancarlo Gonzalez was guilty of a piece of play-acting so shameful that, were there any justice in this world, the game should’ve been outright awarded to San Jose on principle.

After clouting into San Jose striker Chris Wondolowski elbow-first from behind and off the ball, Gonzalez then had the bare-faced temerity to fall to the floor and feign injury when Wondolowski poked him in the chest in retaliation…

That face…

Shameful. Disgusting. He’d never be allowed to play again if we had anything to do with it.

GAH!!!

Agree mate, its at the extreme end of the scale and deserves a healthy punishment.

Makes Luis Suarez look like a stand-up member of the community in comparison.

  3. LOL says:

    Mourinho should sign him

  4. Ricardo says:

Should be noted that Chris Wondolowski has the extreme power to focus the energy of a thousand bulls into his index finger. Pretty evident from the GIF

    His name is Giancarlo…go figure.

@Ricardo: Lol. The one inch punch from the finger! Thought only Bruce Lee and other Sensais were able to do that. Agree with this article though. Tis so frustrating to see zero sportsmanship like this.

Very Neymar-ish. he should join Barcelona, it’ll help Barcelona leapfrog Madrid in La Liga titles.

The initial push was deserved of a yellow by itself; the dive deserves a special visit from the sodomy fairy in the dead of night. Surprised Wondolowski didn’t go into a blind rage and strike Gonzalez’s head like a ball when he went down. F*ck I definitely would have.
