“You’ll never guess what I’ve been up to this morning lads!”

Bedding down and settling into life in Valencia, Phil Neville decided to greet the new day by attempting to Tweet in the native tongue.

Attempting to alert his followers that he’d just been for an early run down the beach, Fizzer inadvertently got himself into a bit of a sticky situation…

Apparently ‘corrida’ is actually the Spanish word for a bull run, but is commonly used as a slang term for…well, blowing ones frijoles.

He tried, bless him.

surely it should say “early morning wanker on the beach”? (I’m not sure what the spanish is for ‘assistant manager’ but ‘wanker’ definitely sums him up quite accurately).

Hey at least he made an effort. “Corrida” is a typical word in the Spanish language and thus wouldn’t really mean anything for a Spanish speaker outside of Spain. Unfortunately in Spain it does actually mean having a wank.
