Hosting Leicester City at Pride Park, Derby County would have been hoping to keep things tight against the Premier League champions and to not give away any cheap goals.

Enter Rams striker Darren Bent, who, after just eight minutes, was responsible for a nightmare own-goal.

The former Tottenham and Aston Villa hitman had a chance to clear the ball off the line after a Leicester corner.

However, instead, the veteran striker somehow manages to slice the ball into the back of his own net…

Utterly appalling!

The 32-year-old former England international did make up for his ricket, however, neatly heading home his side’s equaliser on 21 minutes.

On 40 minutes, Craig Bryson would find the back of the net to make it 2-1 to the Rams at the break.

However, a late equaliser from Foxes’ captain Wes Morgan would see the game finish all-square.

The two sides will now have to meet again at the King Power Stadium in February.
