The live text updates emanating from Swindon Town’s League Two game against Accrington Stanley momentarily became utterly bamboozling in the latter stages after an incident involving two identically named players.

As the clock ticked over into the 84th minute, James Dunne was sent off for raising an arm and connecting with James Dunne.

Dunne (Swindon) was shown a straight red for his crime, only to be swiftly followed down the tunnel by Dunne (Accrington), who was given a second yellow card for his reaction.

Thankfully, James Dunne (Accrington) goes by the nickname ‘Jimmy’, which just about made it possible for fans from both sides to follow the corresponding Twitter updates.

Dunne and Dunne off, over and done, done and dusted. Capiche?

For the record, ten-man Swindon ran out 3-0 winners over ten-man Accrington, who secured their promotion to League One last weekend.
