Fulham‘s Michael Brown was fortunate to escape without a red card after a nasty tackle on Ashley Cole on Saturday (was that an Arsenal fan muttering something about karma?!). It now seems certain he will not face any further action for the challenge. There is no need for a News of the World exclusive a la Ben Thatcher to see Brown’s track record – a simple trawl through YouTube should do the trick.

This was on the opening day of the season when Brown stamped on Ryan Giggs’ knee.
I heard a couple of pundits mention the Giggs incident, but I was surprised nobody brought up this wild tackle on Sean Davis at the end of last season.
