Whisper it, but I’m actually enjoying watching Liverpool play of late.

A second hat-trick in the space of three games from the formerly useless Maxi Rodriguez and a goal apiece from Dirk Kuyt and the hugely impressive Luis Suarez saw Liverpool do their chances of pipping Spurs to fifth spot no harm – handing Fulham their arses back on a plate with a 5-2 routing at Craven Cottage last night.

In a game which saw Jamie Carragher make his 666th Liverpool appearance to move to second position in the club’s all-time rankings (behind Ian Callaghan’s 857 turn-outs), Suarez once again proved himself to be of the most important signings of the season and was an absolute joy to behold from the off – causing Brede Hangeland migraine after migraine with his irrepressible movement and cunning creativity.

Bearing in mind that Liverpool would be second in the Premier League (behind Chelsea) if they started tallying from the day that King Kenny took the reigns, it sure looks like next season sure is going to be interesting one at Anfield – and for all the right reasons this time!
