Having knocked out tons of brilliant retro pixelated images over the years, the chaps over at 8-Bit Football have finally produced their very first video tribute.

First to received the honour is Roberto Carlos, with the tree-trunk-thighed Brazilian’s Barthez-bamboozling free-kick against Les Bleus in the 1997 Tournoi de France recreated Sensible Soccer style by utilising Sensi’s infamously fiddly shot swerve…

Perfection, right down to the last detail. Even the way the Zinedine Zidane moves back into position is spot on.
