Oh, countless are the hours we’ve all wiled away engaged in epic Snoccer duels over the years…

Snooker + Soccer = Snoccer. Geddit? Subbuteo for the Raleigh Burner generation!

Nope, we have no recollection of it either.

Strangely, despite the old adverts still floating about, there doesn’t seem to be any tangible proof that the GREAT NEW GAME OF THE 1980s ever actually existed.

Indeed, the footballing retronauts over at Got, Not Got even ran a competition a couple of years ago with prizes on offer to anyone who could produce hard evidence of having owned or played on a set. Sadly it was all to no avail, and that’s despite Snoccer being the GREAT NEW GAME OF THE 1980s and everything.

However, it certainly seems that someone out there tried to re-launch Snoccer a few years ago.

You may not be surprised to learn that it still looked completely naff – more so, if that’s at all possible…

Same here, never heard of it.

Having now seen it, I have to ask:

    WHY?

  2. ChrisCan says:

My initial reaction was also, “WHY?”

But the more I think about it, the more I think I’d have a go if they had it at the pub. Just change the name, for God’s sake.

    That looks well shit!
    Should have called it Fooker.

£29.50?! Wouldn’t that equate to a few hundred quid in modern money? Surely that’s a joke.

There was adverts for this in Roy of the Rovers comic. My dad thought it was joke. From what i gather it bombed big time. No surprise really.
