A funny old game? Yes, exactly that:

Amazing. Frankly, who needs the bells and whistles of FIFA and PES when you could be playing Saint & Greavsie on an Amiga or ZX Spectrum you bought from a charity shop? Right NOW! Or perhaps you never got rid of your old console in the first place.

I never had the joy of playing it, but the YouTube video tells me I missed out in a BIG f**king way.

Anyone out there lucky enough to pit his/her ( retro sexism aside, I would be astonished if any girl ever played this) wits against the addled brains of Messrs Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves? We’d love to hear about it…

Never played this one, but had Superior Soccer on the BBC Master. That was a player manager type offering that allowed management of the team as well as being able to play out matches, too. The (text-based) commentator in the bottom left hand corner used to yell out Greavsie-isms such as “It’s a funny old game” and “It’s a game of two halves”.
